HONR 100 EARLY ADMISSIONS ORIENTATION. (1 cr.). An orientation
to the academic and cultural aspects of university life for early admissions
students. (Summer only)
HONR 110 FRESHMAN HONORS SEMINAR. (1 cr.). A weekly discussion of current ideas.
Fall, Spring.
HONR 111 HONORS WORKSHOP. (1 cr.). Explores strategies for success in the academic
environment. Credit does not apply toward a degree.
HONR 210 SOPHOMORE HONORS SEMINAR. (1 cr.). A weekly discussion of current ideas.
Fall, spring.
HONR 216 CULTURE OF MAN. (5,2,6 cr.). Presents a survey of world cultural developments
from the beginning to the present by focusing on man and his institutions. Emphasis
on the interrelationship between the individual and society, and on the dynamics
of change. Spring. Prereq: Permission of Director.
HONR 221-222 BASIC HONORS SCIENCE I, II. (3,2,4 cr.). An integrated approach
to basic scientific principles with materials drawn from biology, chemistry,
and physics. Scientific theories, energetic, and natural phenomena are all emphasized.

HONR 310 JUNIOR HONORS SEMINAR. (1 cr.). A weekly discussion of current ideas.

HONR 375 MODERN PROBLEMS IN SCIENCE. (3,0,3 cr.). Presents a thematic, in-depth
discussion of a modern problem in the sciences.
HONR 385 MODERN PROBLEMS IN HUMANITIES. (3,0,3 cr.). Presents a thematic, in-depth
discussion of a modern problem in the arts and humanities.
HONR 410 SENIOR HONORS SEMINAR. (1 cr.). A weekly discussion of current ideas.
Fall, Spring.
HONR 497 THESIS PREPARATION. (2,0,2 cr.). An introduction to the selection of
topics suitable for an undergraduate thesis and a discussion of thesis writing
itself.
HONR 499 HONORS THESIS. (1-6 variable cr.). Prereq: HONR 497.
