That's right - ice skating on the swamp. That's just one of the amazing stories that goes untold about our wonderful campus. As you can see, hidden gems are a part of ULL's history. Depicted in this picture, professors and students alike skate across a frozen swamp in the year of 1962, just one year after the school was renamed from Southwestern Louisiana Institute (SLI) to the University of Southwestern Louisiana (USL) - See more here
