Each semester, the Honors Program recognizes and honors our student(s) who maintains their requirements for the program while also giving back to the Honors community. Honors students are expected to participate in at least 1 hour of Honors service hours per academic year. At the end of the year, the student with the most Honors service hours is rewarded with an award. This semester, we had a tie for most Honors service hours. We would like to recognize Christina Hernandez and Courtney Suire for their hard work and dedication to providing service and their time to the Honors Program. We congratulate them on winning this prestigious award for the Academic Year of 2016-2017. As well, we would like to recognize that our 2015-2016 Honors Service Award winner, Madeleine Pouw, will also receive an award retroactively. Our University of Louisiana at Lafayette Honors Service Hours Award includes recognition on a plaque in the Quiet Lounge, an officiated certificate of recognition, and a $250 reward. Once again, we congratulate our winners, and appreciate all of our volunteers this semester without which the Honors Program could not continue.
