Overview
WHAT:
Honors Seminar provides a weekly exposure to a wide variety of intellectual notions in the company of a large group of faculty and students.
This student-oriented event utilizes the best talent on the campus, in the community, or from around the state to explore and examine questions of direct and current interest to students. Students are actively involved in planning these Seminars.
WHEN:
Courses typically last for 50 minutes once a week and are held in Griffin Hall. It’s important for you to refer to your class schedule for the Room Number, Start, and End times.
WHERE: GRIFFIN HALL 147 (the FIRST FLOOR AUDITORIUM).
Requirements
In order to receive credit for Seminar you need to:
- Attend weekly
- Read the assigned book
- Complete and turn in an essay to the Moodle page for Honors.
You are allowed two (2) unexcused absences. Participation in the seminar is worth 1 credit hour and is based on Attendance and an Essay. Essay questions are issued at least 6 weeks prior to the due date.
The following course is offered during the Spring and Fall semesters:
HONR 300 for Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors
Cultural Events to Supplement Attendance
NOTE: We will no longer be accepting cultural events to supplement attendance.

If seminar conflicts with your course curriculum please contact the Administration in the Honors Department before the start of the semester.
